CSC Sizing
Through communication with the commissioning programme, including provision of pertinent information, the NCSAS team collects metrics about the size of the solution. This, combined with their expertise, is used to come to a consensus on how long the CSC will take to complete.
Consideration is given to factors such as:
- intended purpose
- scope
- software lifecycle stage
- complexity
- integrations/interfaces
- data flows
- the size of the population the solution will serve
Commission agreement
Once the size and cost of the CSC is agreed, a project mandate is delivered to the programme for review and sign off.
Once the funds have been transferred, or a payment plan agreed, the CSC can commence.
As part of this process, it is important to identify the relevant members of the commissioning programme who the CSC project team will ultimately handover the CSC to, once completed.
